I use my Macs for writing, photography, and graphic design

The Mac Help Desk grew out of maintaining my own creative systems

I got my first Macintosh for print and graphic design, and to write feature articles. Then came the mysteries of HTML and web publishing. I can help others understand Adobe's Photoshop and InDesign after doing hundreds of projects: photo editing, color print jobs, and photos and graphics for the Web. Today I craft clear prose, clean print and web layouts, and enjoy crafting creative solutions as much as being your friendly neighborhood Mac geek.

Creative Services

Print

The Mac was the first to give us fast, affordable page layout and typesetting.

Give me a shout when when you need:

  • Business cards
  • Brochures
  • Flyers
  • Posters
  • Booklets

Good digital color printing is available locally for reasonable rates.

Web

Everybody and their Business Needs to Be On the Web. I will get you set up:

  • A domain name
  • Web hosting
  • Web pages.
  • Content (words and images)
  • A secure contact form
  • Personal e-mail

A little database magic lets you edit your text without touching the code.

Writing

I am a nationally published non-fiction feature writer. I will deliver your message clearly with an economy of words.

At Mike Raymond & Associates in San Francisco I worked on Fortune 500 firms' internal and external communications, including Bridgeway Telecommunications' proposal to the United States Olympic Committee.

Technical, educational, and how-to materials are welcome projects.
